3. Why does the LED on the lithium pack flash even though the lithium pack has been switched off?

The flashing of the middle LED (every 2-3 seconds) signals the lithium pack is in stand-by mode. This switch-off time depends on the lithium pack generation. Please read your manual.

The rcB lithium pack rcB switches off automatically (Power-OFF) if the rcB 1200/rcB 1800 lithium pack is on a heating setting (1, 2 or 3), but no Lenz heat product is connected or if the lithium pack is in stand-by mode (middle LED flashing) and no Lenz heat product is connected.     

 

 

4. What can I do if the lithium pack does not change from the Stand-By Mode to the Power-Off mode and keeps flashing?

  • Make sure that no heat sock/vest/bandage/gloves or charger is connected to the lithium pack.

  • Make sure that the Lenz heat app is closed completely at your smartphone and that there is no existing connection to the lithium packs via Bluetooth.

  • Make sure that the lithium packs have no active connection to or with Bluetooth compatible devices (BLE devices) at the immediate area.

  • Press the power button on the lithium pack and switch the lithium packs to Stand-By Mode.

6. How do I know that my lithium pack is compatible with the Lenz heat app?

Bluetooth-enabled lithium packs are marked with the "Bluetooth" icon on the front as well as "Bluetooth Smart" on the back.

7. What should I do for long term storage?

Please discharge the lithium packs and half charge (see user manual) – DO NOT FULL CHARGE! Turn off the lithium packs and store disconnected from the charger.

We recommend the lithium packs be discharge every 6 months and again half charged. Proper storage of lithium packs will increase their  performance and lifetime.

8. How can I check if my lithium packs are half charged?

To fully discharge the lithium pack, connect it to the heat socks / gloves / vest / bandage / LED system and set it to the highest heating level until the lithium pack is completely discharged. 

To half discharge the lithium pack for long-term storage, fully discharge the lithium pack as described and then recharge it for 2–3 hours using the charger.

 

9. For which purpose the rubber rings are attached to the packaging?

There are 3 x 2 pcs. of elastic rubber rings enclosed to every set of rcB 1200 / rcB 1800 lithium packs.

These coloured rubber rings will facilitate matching the battery pack, for example, should more friends / family members have the same lithium packs in use. In that case you can mark your battery packs with one color (f.e. yellow) and the other person with a different color (f.e. red).

The rubber rings can be fixed between the battery cell units.
Thus, there is no likelihood of confusion of the lithium packs, if the lithium packs had been paired already to the Lenz heat app.

10. Can you take Lenz lithium packs onto an airplane?

Please contact your airline to discuss the matter. Most airlines apply a limit of 100 Wh per person. The Lenz lithium pack rcB 1200 Accupack has 8.88 Wh, the Lenz lithium pack rcB 1800 Accupack has 13.32 Wh.

 

11. Can the LEDs of the lithium packs be turned off while they heat?

Yes, the LEDs can be turned off using the function “ON/OFF” in the Lenz heat app while the heating function remains active.

12. The capacity of my lithium packs is lower than initially, what can I do?

Please charge and discharge the lithium packs completely three times. According to experience, this should improve capacity. If this is not the case, please contact our service centre.

13. I have connected my lithium packs with the charger, but they do not charge, what can I do?

Please press the function key on the lithium pack to start the charging process. The charging process / status can be tracked based on the increasing number of permanently lit LEDs on the lithium pack.
Details regarding the charging process are also set out in the manual.

14. How big and heavy are the lithium packs?

The lithium packs have the following dimensions per unit:

1. How does the heat socks work?

The heat socks are performance socks with a proportion of merino wool. The heating element is integrated/sewn in these socks. The lithium pack can be attached to the legband via press buttons. The legband can be turned over the lithium pack.
Heat can be regulated via 3 settings on the lithium pack or continuously via smartphone.

2. Where do the heated socks dispurse heat?

At the heat socks toe cap® the heating element incorporates the entire toe area, heating the toes from the top and the bottom. This results in an optimum heat chamber for a maximum feeling of cosy well-being. We recommend wearing the socks directly on the skin.

The heat socks only heat in the toe area because it is the extremities such as the toes that always turn cold first in the cold. Once the toes are cold, coldness slowly spreads throughout the entire foot and the blood vessels at the surface of the body constrict. If the toes remain warm thanks to the heat socks, optimal circulation in the entire foot and leg is ensured.  

 

3. What’s the difference between the 4.0 toe cap® heat sock, 5.0 toe cap® (slim fit) heat socks and 6.0 toe cap® merino compression heat socks?

All heat socks with the addition "toe cap" have a heating element that surrounds the entire toe area. This warms the toes both from above and from below, resulting in an optimum heating chamber.

The heat socks 5.0 toe cap® have padding in the area of the shinbone and are suitable for all outdoor activities. The natural material mix of merino wooland silk supports the excellent heat effect of the sock.

The heat socks 5.0 toe cap® slim fit are cut narrow in the area of the forefoot and are particularly suitable for narrow feet and slim legs. They have padding in the area of the shinbone and are suitable for all outdoor activities. The natural material mix of merino wooland silk supports the excellent heat effect of the sock.

The heat socks 4.0 toe cap® in black are the perfect accessory for leisure and work. In green they are the perfect socks for hunting and forestry.

The heat socks 6.0 toe cap® merino compression are the first heat socks with the toe cap® heating element to be manufactured using compression knitting technology and a high merino wool content. They are extremely thin in volume and are therefore ideal for all fitted and close-fitting types of shoes.



4. How does the heat vest/heat bandage work?

The lithium batteries of the heat vest can be fastened with press buttons at the inside of the vest on the left and right side. Heat is dispursed at the kidney and back area. Heat can be regulated via 3 settings on the lithium battery or continuously via smartphone.

The lithium packs of the heat bandage can also be fastened with press buttons in a pocket at the front side of the bandage.

5. How do the heat gloves work?

The heat gloves 4.0 have a pocket on the inside of the wrist for storage of the lithium packs. The lithium packs can be connected to the heat glove 4.0 using the push buttons.

7. How does the LED system 1.0 work?

Open the velcro fastener of the intended battery compartment. You can now see the connector plug for the integrated LED module.
Place the lithium pack in the intended battery pocket. Connect the LED module‘s connector plug to the battery with the press studs.
Close the flap of the velcro fastener.
Press the function key on the battery pack briefly to recall the various modes on the LED system 1.0. Pressing and holding down the function key on the lithium pack lets you dim the light in each mode in 4 different stages.

8. How is the sizing of heat socks / vests / soles / gloves?

9. Washing Instructions (heat socks, heat vest/heat bandage, heat gloves)

- Machine wash at 30 degree, gentle cycle
- Gentle spin cycle (max 600 rpm) 
- Machine wash only / Do not hand wash
- Wash socks in the supplied wash bag
- Hang to dry
- Do not put in the dryer
- Do not boil
- Do not bleach
- Remove Lithium packs before washing

- Do not iron
- Do not dry clean
- Close the zipper of the jacket before washing, close velcro of the heat bandage before washing
- Remove Lithium packs before washing
- Do not wring vest/bandage

heat glove:
- Heat gloves are not washable.
- For optimum drying, we recommend our space dryer dryer 1.0 or space dryer 2.0.

 

10. For whom are heatable textiles unsuitable?

Heatable textiles should not be used by individuals with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities. Individuals with improper perception of heat and cold (e.g. diabetics, people with disabilities etc.) or limited sensory perception of the skin should contact their doctor before using heatable textiles.

Our "dryer & warmer" products are CE certified and comply with all applicable European regulations and guidelines for safe use.
